Precinct Caucus February 7th

agillespie - Posted on 25 January 2012

What is a DFL precinct caucus? Your precinct caucus is a neighborhood meeting. It is the first step in the endorsement process for electing candidates to local, state, and national offices. Precinct caucuses are also where we cast ballots in a presidential preference poll, Minnesota’s first contest of the 2012 presidential election.

Why should I attend my caucus? Caucuses are a public forum where citizens can make their voices heard before they get to the voting booth. It allows you and your neighbors to come together and discuss the issues that matter to your community. The state party builds its platform based on resolutions you submit at this
meeting. Anybody participating in the caucus is eligible to be elected a delegate or party officer should they desire to be active in the DFL after the caucuses.

Caucus location: Oak-Land Jr. High,820 Manning Ave. N. Lake Elmo, MN 55042

Time: 7:00 p.m.

See you there!
